In my experience, I would do either one per person or every other place setting and no less. I say this b/c I was at a party (granted it wasn't a wedding but it was at a restaurant) that had 1 menu per table, and when it came time to order, the poor waiter was standing waiting as the 1 menu was passed around to each couple. FH and I knew what we wanted, but others at the table were Um-ing and Uh-ing about what they wanted.

We are having on average 10 people per table so I'm doing 4 menu's per table. I may go up to 5 but the waiter and waitresses will be telling everyone the entree options anyway.

edited: already responded lol don't recall responding hahaha...

but i should add that when we do one per place setting we will be tucking them into each person's napkin and they will be immediately taken away by the waitstaff once our guests orders are recorded so they won't be in the way.
