1. Are you adding Viannsese onto your printed menu? I have seen this done, but I always thought it was supposed to be a little surprise to the guests? Does it ruin the surprise if they see it on the menu?
2. I want to get 'to go' boxes, anyone getting or have gotten them... where can I get inexpensive ones?
TY!

Re: For those doing Vinannese - 2 questions
we added the viennese hour to our reception, our guests will found out about it that night. i mean we have been telling people about it when they ask. our RH also gives our guests 'take-home' boxes.

Thanks, I wish mine was providing them too! I re-worded my 1st question.. I was wondering if I should write it on the printed menu?

Yea... I have been surprised when they have Viannese as well! I feel like its SO FUN that way and no one is expecting it. I really doubt people will start leaving before it happens since we are doing the cake cutting right before Viannese. Dessert will be served alongside the Viannese tables. So, there would be no sign of the reception ending before that! Plus people will be partying.. I def. know our crowd will be! Also our reception is not ending toooooo late.. 12am and thats after an extra hour. We are starting cocktail hr. at 6pm (wish it was later but thats all that was avil.)

Re: For those doing Vinannese - 2 questions
Yes, I asked our RH when we decided to add Viannese and they said no problem, we can supply boxes and they will have them available at the end of the V-Table. I think I am going with Gables, just wider and easy to carry. I wanted the chinese food containers originally, but RH said its really too small for cakes/pasteries and that those are better for candy bars. He said things will get too smushed up in there! Also thinking to add a thank you/monogram sticker on the side.

I think I will do this too! for the same reasons, I worry my guests will leave, I also plan on doing cake as late as possible, bc I feel like people always wait until after cake cutting to leave

1. I am not adding it to the menu....fun surprise at end for the guests!
2. I would check with your RH before you purchase 'to go' boxes. Like others have said, some are fine with it and even provide them, but my RH said no because people would take more then they would without a box and they would have to pay more to replenish.

Yea, I think I am going to keep it a surprise, I am doing cake pretty much right before Viannese, so I am not worried about people leaving.... I think its fun to do it as a surprise! For those too full, I will have the to-boxes! :)
My RH had no issues with me supplying boxes... they in fact steered me from Chinese take out boxed because they are too small for pasteries etc..

Re: For those doing Vinannese - 2 questions
I put it on the menu- after wedding cake and cordial bar, I put viennese tables.
I got to go boxes and had stickers made with our names and dates on them. I still have at least 100 boxes if anyone wants them!
