well FH and I personally wanted to do a destination wedding but knew that most of our family would not be able to make the trip and we wanted them there. But I said that if it wasn't destination, on a beach, then it would definitely be in a church.

I will also add that FH and I have talked about possibly doing a destination vow renewal for our 10 year anniversary. That way, we had our big wedding and we had our destination wedding

Same with us. FH had originally envisioned a beach wedding but I knew that would only work in my hometown and I couldn't deal with planning it over here.
The reason I ask is because it seems that a lot of my close peers have no desire to....I feel like the oddball.

I didnt want a wedding I just wanted to get married in a church rather than town hall. FH wants the wedding even though he is jewish we are getting married in a roman catholic church. that was our compromise

I really didn't want to get married in a church. But, as we were planning, although both of our parents said it was up to us, I could tell that they were bummed and really wanted us to get married in a church.
The thing that really changed my mind was when we were looking at professional wedding pics... there was something so sweet about the pictures of the bride & the father of the bride walking into the church together that I just fell in love with.

i always wanted to get marriedin my church i grew up in CT in. but since we are having a ny wedding, we are going to be his church.
i couldnt imagine not doing at the church bc his parents would flip, but there are times when i wish we could get married on the beach with our feet in the sand.
* maybe when we renew our vows in 5 years we will do that!

I always knew I wanted to get married in a church. I have always been religious, but since I started dating FH we have really embraced our faith. We go to church together every Sunday!

Originally we were going to get married at the RH but when I had to tell them yes or no I realized I really wanted a church wedding. I probably would have been upset if we didn't
Even though neither of us have been very active in the church we found a church we both liked and started attending so we are now getting married in a beautiful church
