Re: For those having a flower girl?
I've read from the knot website 5 and under (2ish) is the right age to be a FG. Then for Jr. BM is between 8-12 yrs. old.

Re: For those having a flower girl?
I'm having two - one will have just turned 7 and the other will be 2 months shy of four.
I was a Jr BM when I was 10.

Re: For those having a flower girl?
Ok. Thanks ladies. FI's identical twin nieces are 7 (going on 8) and I have not asked them - or him - but think they would like to be in the wedding.
Then there is a borrowed child - 5 year old daughter of my hair stylist who has been the flower girl for about 4 recent weddings.

Re: For those having a flower girl?
I think 3.5-5 is the perfect age.
That being said my flower girls are ages 2.5,5 and 5 by the time of the wedding.

Re: For those having a flower girl?
PS: I have three because I don't know if the 2.5 year old will be able to make it down the aisle. We're just going to play it by ear with her.

Re: For those having a flower girl?
I think anything over 10 is definitely too old tobe a flower girl. The special relationship between you guys and the child as well as the 'cute' factor comes into play (at least for me ). We're using my fi's 6 year old sister. She's terrified of people and SOOOO shy, so we may not have anyone at all. Maybe I can 'borrow' your 'borrowed child' KD? Please excuse me, I'm tired.

Re: For those having a flower girl?
Our flower girls will be about a month away from their birthdays so they'll almost be 4 & 5.

Re: For those having a flower girl?
I'll be sure to tell my stylist that she can loan out her little girl as the official 'borrowed child' to play flower girl.
She is 4 now and just LOVES playing dress up. At the last wedding she was in (4 of them at this point) she had a little diva in her wedding march. She kind of posed for pictures as she walked. Too cute!!!
