wait i'm confused. medical leave from school or work? you are afraid of losing your insurance through school or through work?

i work full time but there was an option for me to opt into the school's insurance plan; i didn't because I already have insurance.

i would think if it were an official leave for medical reasons approved by your doc, you wouldn't lose insurance. if they found out you were still working, that might be a problem though. but the best way to know is to call the insurance co.

I know that I have to be approved in the begining of the year to be on my parent's insurance by the school sending the insurance a letter I believe... and then I don't have to do anything else. So if that was already taken care of if you started school, then you should just be covered for the year already without a problem, right? I mean your school shouldnt' tell them you dropped out if it was a medical leave, you know? I'm not sure if your insurance works the same way though.

i know for my undergrad you had to be a full time student to keep your medical insurance. There would also be complications with my parents insurance if I wasn't a full time student. I had the credits to graduate a semester early but in the end I took the minimum # of credits my last semester and graduated on time.

I think they will find out if you take leave for any reason.
