Re: For those in the Northport area.....
I live in Kings Park, one station away. It takes a hour and a half to get to Penn Station. You would be better off driving to Huntington Station because there are so many more trains at that station.

I live in E.NPT and drive everyday to Whitestone. The drive can be from 45 min. to 1 1/2 hours.
From my train experience it takes me an hour and 15 minutes from NPT to Penn. I know a lot of people who drive to the Huntington station since you need to change there anyway.

We live in NPT & my FH commutes from NPT to NYC every single day!!! The commute sucks but he deals- he sleeps a lot on the train & catches up on lots of reading!!! He takes a train around 6:30 am, & luckily he doesn't need to tansfer @ Huntington, so it's straight to Penn.

Re: For those in the Northport area.....
Thanks everyone, the time it takes doesnt bother me so much. I live in Garden City Park right now, and I take the bus/subway into work, takes me sometimes 1 hour 45 minutes to get in. Only its 2 bucks each way (free transfer). Think the main thing thats going to kill me is the LIRR ticket price!!!
