for those ladies who have had those terrible

sinus infections...

As I wrote in an earlier post a few days ago... I have been having these terrible terrible head pains for the past 3 weeks (every single day!)... been to two doctors who told me its 'stress' and to meditate, etc... I told them I think I have a sinus infection and I know my body! and demanded one of them to give me an antibiotic! (I have never had a headache or sinus infection in my life) and they gave me something stronger than amoxcillan(sp?) ..if it happens to be a sinus infection (like I predict) when should I start feeling relief? thanks ladies!! I hope I can prove the doctors wrong LOL

Sorry that your suffering...
I suffered with chronic sinus infecs for years! It got to the point where i had to have Surgery to correct it-no problems after surgery. If you dont get better try to make an appt for a specialist (Ear/Nose and Throat)...

I am guessing its sinuses even though I have never had a sinus infection, allergy, etc...the drs told me to go see a neurologist to get it checked out bc it might be cluster, or migraines .

I get chronic sinus infections. I don't have allergies to anything in particular though. I normally don't get any 'cold-like' sypmtoms though. I get headaches and excrutiating earaches. I don't like to constantly be on antibiotics, so i try to head them off. I can't take 'adult' decongestants. It's like an 8 hour anxiety attack for me. So I'll take children's liquid dimatapp. It's mild and it helps. like once a year, I get in a bad pattern of them and as soon as one ends, another begins. Then I'll take Singulair for 3-4 weeks, once a day. (no side effects at all) That usually helps break the pattern. When I do take antibiotics, I'll take either a z-pack (3 day one) or if it becomes a bad infection, Omnicef.
The Neti pot is also very helpful. And warm compresses too, as well as hot showers.

Feel better!!!!
