For those marrying at a church...

are you including direction/map cards in with your invitations? Our invites have the address of the church and I have been getting mixed answers about including separate directions. did you include a map or just directions written out?...tia!!

Totally up to you! I will probably do a directions card that shows directions to the church and then directions from the church to the hall, and general directions to the hall. That way it's all covered.

But to be honest, in this day and age, I would guess that at least 70% of your guests will mapquest directions, or have a GPS or will follow someone else etc.

I printed a direction card as a matching insert to the invitation. Directions for both the church and hall were on it....

thats what i was thinking. i have direction cards for the reception and the hotel for oot guests. so i might just make up cards for the church...i just wasnt sure the 'proper' thing to do.

I did a double-sided direction card...one side had directions to the church and the church address, and the other had directions to the RH.

I'm not including direction maps. Most people know where my church is.

I included cards with extremely specific directions but no maps.

We included direction cards to the church/hotel/reception place....I did them myself..if you think it will help then i would include them...honestly I haven't seen a lot of invites include the church directions...my parents wanted us to.

I used my additional insert card for directions to the church and then I used the direction inserts given to us by the RH. On the day of, I'll print out one of those cutesy free maps that tell people how to get from the church to the RH. I didn't want to waste tons of money having another insert added when a) a lot of our guests are from the area and can figure it out, and b) I'm not sure how many people will actually show up at church but that would probably be the best place for them to get the directions.

I included directions to the church...they were written out, no maps.

Us too. I actually just did them tonight. I did the map part on paint (it's mostly straight lines and VERY easy to do on there) and then I did the direction side and will double side print them. Overall it will be 1/2 of a standard sheet of paper.

on the same card as the reception announcement, I included directions from the church to the reception site.

If you'd like to see an example FM me

This is what I did as well. Although people can mapquest it and stuff, i've always found it to be very convenient when the bride and groom include a set of directions -- and often they are more accurate and detailed than mapquest.

This is up to you. I wrote up my own directions to the Church from the hotel and placed them in all my invites.
