For those not having a RD.....

For those not having a RD.....

When are you giving your BP their gifts? We aren't having a dinner and my shower is this Sat (I think) so I was wondering if I should bring them 'just in case' considering it is the only time before the wedding I will be seeing 9/10 of them together in one place. What do you ladies think????

Also- is it bad if I give a little something extra (in private some other time) to a couple of my BM- I have a couple of BF's from college whom I would like to give a little extra to, but I don't want to give it to FH cousin and SIL. Is that evil???????

Hmmm. I would give everyone SOMETHING, but it doesn't have to be the same. If you will have ANY time before the wedding (that morning, etc.) I'd do it then.

Also, I don't think everyone expects to get the same thing. My MOH will definitely be getting something a bit more expensive than the BM's and I can't imagine that they will be insulted, and if you have really close friends in the party, it's logical they'd get something 'bigger.'

But, that doesn't mean I'd give it to them all together, I would only do it on the wedding day, as I could, either before the ceremony or even at the reception where no one will be comparing notes, there will be too much going on!!

Take them to a simple lunch and give them the gifts.

I may just got with the bm's to lunch the day before or my best friend gave it to the girls the morning of her wedding when everyone was getting ready. That was nice too. Especially if its DOJ. Of course what I am thinking of getting isn't so I don't want it to get lost or have to trapese around with it all day.

You can do a lunch OR you can have a girls night, do a sleep over with movies, etc and give them then or do it the night of the bachelorette party

We didn't have a RD either... We're Jewish so Jews usually don't. My girls met me in my hotel suite getting ready and I gave it to them b4. The whole BP was staying at the hotel as well so it worked out. DH gave it to his guys hanging out in the BM's room drinking beer and this way they were all able to bring the gifts back to their room b4 we took pics and headed to the temple

I'm not sure if I am having a RD yet. Not sure if it's going to fit into budget, but my mother may take care of it. Not sure.

But if I have a RD I'd be giving out the gifts there and make a speech regarding my bride's maids.

I don't have a RD I suppose I will take the girls out to lunch and give them their gifts.
