Are you putting Adult Only reception follows or just reception follows. I want to make it clear that their are no kids invited. I told most of my guest already but I want them to know that I am serious.

Re: For those not having kids at the wedding
we got an invite in on sat and on the response card under the
Mr _______ ___ attending
etc
it said Adult Reception on the bottom right corner. I guess that is a good way to make sure people are aware.....they will be looking at that card to fill it out and send back to you so you might as well sneak it on there!!

i think adding it to the response card it the best way to get your point across.

Since ceremony & reception are in the same place, it is my intention to put Adult Reception immediately following.

This is what I was going to do as well but I wasn't sure.

On the RSVP card instead of putting '___ number of guests', you can put '____ number of adults'

Re: For those not having kids at the wedding
My response acrds are personalized. So I am going to take my chances and say no.
They will say....
Mr & Mrs. Robert Smith 2 seats have been reserved for you
__ accepts with pleasure __ denies with regret
the way I see it people would have to be really ballzy to cross out the number and change it. Besides most of our guests know from word of mouth it's adult only anyway

I like your idea. I might do the same. Thanks.

Re: For those not having kids at the wedding
I am not putting it. Guests invited will be indicated by the names put on the envelope. If people have questions, they can ask me and I'll explain my reasoning to them.

I thought about that but many people still bring along theor kids even it their names are not on the invite because they assume they are invited as well. I would know not to do that but people never fail to surprise me.

i agree. i am doing the same. will be addressing the invites to the people invited. in only two cases will the invites say Family. if anyone asks me, my mom, FH or FMIL we all know the answer. if anyone fills in the response card adding their children i will call them & explain the situation.

Re: For those not having kids at the wedding
we are putting 'adult reception' on the reception card... to ensure we do not get a ton of calls from people asking if they can bring their kids.

Same here. It should be clear if a child is or isnt invited...and if it's not..I'll just answer questions as they come
