For those of us who are already shacked up...

1 - where did you stay the night before your wedding?

2- where did you get dressed for your wedding?

I'm sure my mom would love for me to stay at her house, but my BM doing my hair lives near where I live in Malverne. My mom lives in western suffolk - the wedding is scheduled for 12:00 noon. My BM doing my hair/makeup has 2 kids - one going to a babysitter, the other child is hopefully going to be my FG so she can't exactly stay with me at my mom's. What to do? I was going to see if I could get dressed at the hall - is that practical? I haven't lived with my parents in a long time so I'm not sure if I care about having pics at their house.

I think FH will want to stay at our house b/c he's coming off a camping trip with his son so he'll want some real sleep before our wedding, he's never able to sleep when he goes on this trip. We intentionally planned it to be around the trip so that we will be apart prior to the wedding and so that he has a better chance of not having a fight with his ex about having his son at the wedding. Clever - huh? I'm just glad that we'll be apart for a full week and then the next time he'll see me will be at the other end of the aisle wearing my dress...

Me & my then FH (now DH) moved intogether in April, and we got married in July.
So the night be4 the wedding, I packed everything I would need for the night be4 my wedding, the day of the wedding, and the wedding night for when we go to a hotel [inn at foxhollow].

So basically, I stayed at my parent's, in my old room, and i gotta tell you - I HATED being away from home, but I didn't have a choice!

Although I got NO SLEEP that night, it was cool in the sense that my mom had some of my family and Bm over, and we all went in the hot tub outside in her newly redecorated backyard ,but it still felt so weird sleeping away from my FH!

I am staying at and getting ready at my sister's since it is 5 mins from the church

We live in Malverne too!

We are probably both going to stay at the hotel the night before. I will probably stay in the bridal suite so I don't have to move all my stuff, FH will stay in another room ... maybe with his brother (unless he has a date for the weekend) ... or alone.

I'm staying at my place. My FH will be staying at my mom's place. She'll be staying at my place. For us, it's easier that way.

i stayed at hotel, got hair/make-up done at salon, and got dressed at our venue. it worked out great!

i'm staying at the hotel the night before & getting dressed there. i'm not worried about staying at my mom's house- haven't lived there in a while anyways. maybe if i lived at home i would want my last night there- but for me its not practical.
just do whatever makes your wedding day easier!

I am going to be staying at my moms for the few nights before the wedding and then getting ready there for the wedding.

I kicked DH out. I wanted a good night's sleep so I had to sleep in my own bed. My MOH stayed in the second bedroom. DH was at a hotel.

I stayed in my parent's home, and got ready there. One BM and my MOH got ready there too.

DH actually spent the night before our wedding in our hotel bridal suite and got ready there.

DH and I lived together already

1/ I stayed in our house. DH went to his dad's for the night

2/ I got ready at the hall. I was easier for the photos, etc...

I am getting married on 7-1-07 too!!

I live with my FH now as well... I will be going to my parents the night before the wedding, and having my sister do my hair there. FH will be staying in the apartment....

It is so confusing now with all of us not doing things the old fashioned way. ahhh

I still have no idea what we're doing the night before. Neither of us really has anywhere to go other than our home and neither of us wants to go to a hotel so I guess we'll have to figure something out!
