Re: For those of you delivering at Winthrop...
That's great! Congratulations! I was just there (unfortunately) with a kidney infection but I went through the New Life Center and stayed on the maternity floor for two nights - everyone was so great! not sure if that's where you would be but everyone there is so nice and wherever you are, I'm sure you'll love it....Hopefully I won't be back there until late April/early May delivering a healthy, full-term baby! Keep us updated!

What a rewarding job that must be. Congratulations and good luck in your new position!!!
By the way, any expert advice you can give us mommies-to-be about how to be good patients and to have easier deliveries would be appreciated! hehe

Re: For those of you delivering at Winthrop...
Congrats! I am not delivering there BUT my BIL's GF will be and maybe you will be able to let me know when she has the baby. Its an endless battle between her and my BIL, she did not want to have kids, became pregnant and now blames him and does not allow him to now ANYTHING. he calls the hospital and the dr.'s all the time and they say since they are not married he has no rights. Maybe you will be able to let us know when she delivers my nephewm (she is due in april) we are actuallay do a week apart...i was hoping for them to be close cousins...now who knows If we will even find out he was born
anyways, sorry for the rambling, but evertime i think about it i get so upset. Congrats again I hear its a WONDERFUL hospital

Re: For those of you delivering at Winthrop...
Thanks ladies! I can't wait to start. I've been dying to work in maternity since I was in nursing school but they always advise new nurses to gain experience elsewhere. Well after a year and a half in ICU although an exciting challenge at times, I'm physically and emotinally exhausted and looking forward to watching the joy of new mom's and dad's as they welcome their bundles of joy.
P.S. Looking forward to sharing my experinces with you guys and giving you the scoop on what goes on in labor & delivery!

Congrats! I had Andrew at Winthrop and God willing, will have #2 there if we are so blessed. I had the private room just opposite the nurses station and I was so catered too!
