For those of you home now...

For those of you home now...

Any trick-or-treaters come to your door yet!! No one has come to mine (maybe they think I am a witch or something)! It's okay though, I live in a walk-up and I would have to keep going up and down the stairs!! I think some will show up when I am ready to go out for the night!!

Re: For those of you home now...

I live in a condo complex and there are a TON of kids except i thought my mom was buying candy and i guess he thought iw as so i had to go to the door and say i had no candy ifelt sooo bad.

I have to say that I remember a lot more kids going out when I was growing up. however my block was FULL of kids so that could be why i guess.

nobody....almost forgot that its today...

my building is being renovated so there only 10 units filled out of 30+...so I didn''t buy any candy (I would eat it)...and there is no school today (b/c of the fires)...I have a bucket of change that I will use just in case...

Re: For those of you home now...

We''ve only had 3 groups come to the door - two of them earlier, before it got dark Last year we had about a dozen groups of kids.

I worked last night so I slept all day and just woke up bout 15 min ago-I left a huge bowl of candy outside and it is all gone-either lots of trick-or-treaters or a few greedy kids

Re: For those of you home now...

We''ve only had about 20 and most of those were little kids who live in the neighborhood (one family down the block has 13 kids!!!). Last year I went through 2 big bags. Not this year it seems.

Not one...and the bucket of candy by the front door is calling my name...but I can hear my wedding dress in the closet saying 'don''t go, don''t go'. I think it may be time for bed :)

This year their was no one. I had friends that work in the Americana that said the same thing. Usually it is packed with kids and this year nothing.

I had NOT ONE

That upsets me. When I was a kid in Queens, my mom sat outside for a non stop stream of kids, giving out candy.

Times are really changing.

I saw more grown ups this year dressed up than I did kids.

Re: For those of you home now...

We had some teenagers not dressed it all- that bothers me. My last trick or treater was at 9:40 I was like are you kidding. I had a group of 6 mens going around with 1 toddler no one was dressed- It seems that all the fun that I remember about Halloween is gone.

It also seems that some parents think it is safer to send their kids around and apartment complex instead of their own neighborhood. 99% of the kids were not from the developement. I don''t mind I bought more than I needed but seems strange to me.
