for those of you that have been to costa rica

If you could only go to one area which area would that be and why?
We are planning a trip for the week after xmas. We are only going for 5 days but we want to see the most we can while we are there. We are only going to be staying in one area did to $$$ and time- but there is so much to choose from..

And I'd definitely go back to Si Como No! I didn't really like Arenal (but loved seeing the volcano erupt). I heard Tamarindo was nice as well as Punta Islita!

I stayed in Guanacoste area - at the paradisus playa conchal. It was a good location for sunny days and not too far to several day trips that we took. Although we didn't get to got o the volcano or rain forest but that was because we were enjoying relaxing on the resort and that was about a 4 hour drive each way.
