For those of you that have hardwood floors...I have a question for you!

For those of you that have hardwood floors...I have a question for you!

How do you clean them? With a vacuum or a broom? If you use a broom do you have an electric one? Do you like it? What brand is it?

I am really struggling with this I have been using a regular broom and I feel like my floors are still dirty! Please Help!

This is a great question. I just moved into a house with wood floors and I feel like I am always sweeping and then swiffering (is that a word? ). But I would be interested in how others tackle this chore.

I sweep and vacuum constantly.

Once a week or so, I'll mop with a dilute mixture of water and white vinegar.

only water and vinegar no chemicals.

I have construction going on at my house so the dust is outrageous but i find if I follow along behind with a rag like on my feet it makes such a difference.

Vaccum them mop, and like tara & diane say..use vinegar and water.

My parents have hardwood floors. My mom usually uses a dust mop every other day, then uses Murphy's on the floors as well, but I don't know how often with the Murphy's.

Vacuum as needed, swiffer wetjet once a week. About quarterly, I do a full mopping.

There is enough polyurethane on the wood to protect it from the swiffer solution.

I do however find that if you go over it once a year with a wax, it will darken the color over time, so until they make a better wax... I do not recommend it.
