For those of you thinking about skipping Aunt Flo for a month
AF was supposed to come the week of my wedding and so my Dr. told me that it was okay to skip it for a month. I'm so glad that I decided to do it this month instead of waiting until the big day. I never get cramps, but I've got them really bad right now.
So, for anyone who thinks that they might have to skip please do it a few months ahead of time. It really isn't pleasant.

Yeah, after doing that I decided it's not worth it. I don't get bad cramps, but they were killer that time and I felt bloated for a month.

yes, good tip-- everyone should give it a try beforehand b/c each woman's body is different and you never know how you are going to react to changes... sorry about the cramps!!

You're just supposed to keep taking the pill and not take the placebo pills.

I've never had a problem skipping my period but I guess everyone is different. Now I'm on seasonique and will only get my period 4 times a year. I did it b/c get really bad headaches around and during my period and just feel like crap.

Wow! i planned on doing that too. I never even thought how it would affect the body.., duh on my part.. but thanks for the tip. If i see it will be the week of months in advance, i'll skip it then and deal with the cramps before the heat of stress hits

Re: For those of you thinking about skipping Aunt Flo for a month
I just finished doing this at my Dr's advice. I take ortho tri cylen lo so instead of taking the last 7 placebo pills I started a new pack and didn't get my period for last month. Ultimately I will now have my friend the week before the wedding instead of during the wedding. You do spot for the entire month that you skip your period so I would suggest doing it early to get the 'annoying Month' out of the way, so worth it in the long run.

I actually was just talking to my GYNO about this yesterday. Aunt Flo is supposed to vist me on the 2nd week of my HM........uh no......she's gotta stay at home!
So my gyno told me to not take the placbo pill this month and then not take the placbo pill again in a few months so I basically will be moving it up 2 weeks!

Everyone's body is different and everyone will have a different experience. I skip my period every once in a while (when im going on vaca, etc.) and I've never felt any pain, bloating, or cramps when I do this, but like I said, everyone is different.

omg same thing with me - felt so bloated the whole time and hated it. havent done it since.
instead im gonna wait for a few months before and just time it right so that it will be early-mid cycle at wedding and HM time
