If your fiance / husband wore black, what color shirt did he wear. What about the groomsmen / best man?

I initially thought I wanted all of them to wear an off white or ivory shirt, but they look dingy against the black suit. FH likes a nice white Armani shirt and it looks so good on him.

My worry is that since my dress is ivory....would my dress look 'dirty' against everyone's white shirts on photos? I am so worry about that

My BM's are in black, and flower girls are in ivory ....if that helps

I say go with the white. It's so classic and always looks great. You are not going to look dirty next to them!!! I'm sure you will look beautiful. My sisters all wore ivory wedding dresses because we're pretty fair skinned and everyone looked incredible. All their husbands wore the traditional black with white shirts.

I'm going to have to say go with ivory shirts, that's what i'm doing. I'm the same as you, I don't want to risk it looking off compared to my dress!

I would stick with the white shirt (or diamond white) not ivory-if its too yellow compared to you dress the shirt will look dirty, its hard to match.

My SIL wore ivory and it was very gold/yellow and her DH wore white and you can barely tell the difference

I asked this recently on the 08 board and mostly people said wear the ivory shirt. But when we went this weekend to try it on, it did look dingy to me. So we are doing ivory vest and tie with white shirt.

I was just wondering about this, because I am getting an ivory dress. It seems like there are mixed opinions.

The tux guy insisted the guys where Ivory since my dress was Ivory and the girls wore chocolate/ivory dresses. I was hesitate to do this, but it worked out fine. I honestly didn't notice a difference the day of or in the pictures.

I don't think it will be very noticeable either way, but I opted for white shirts because the rental place we went to had a yellow undertone to the ivory and my dress has a pink undertone. I figured it was easier to go with white than to have clashing ivories. Whichever way you decide I think it will look great!

I'll be in ivory and the men will be in tan tuxedos with ivory vests and white shirts.

My dress was ivory and DH wore an ivory shirt. You can't really tell the difference in the pics.
