Votive placecards, did you use real votive candles or the battery operated ones?

i totally agree - there are halls that have rules in place where you can't have an 'open flame'
we didn't do them, we had a scroll instead .... but i think if the 'fake candles' were the only option, i might skip the votive placecard idea all together.
i don't think its quite the same effect, in my opinion.
