For those of you who did DIY invites...
I'm curious about how finished invitations look with flat printing. I keep getting samples that involve thermography, and it's really pretty, but I can't figure out if it's really necessary. Thoughts?

I would have loved thermography but I had to make a decision where I wanted those dollars to go. I used flat printing, I love my invites!!!!! Pics in album!
I designed my own invites (colors, layout, fonts, etc) and couldn't find a thermography printer that would use my custom paper that I had purchased. I ended up having another printer do all of my invites flat printed so that I could use the paper I bought. Looks good too - helps that my paper is metallic so the flat printing still kinda pops.
we used flat printing and I think it looked totally fine.
