For those of you who didn't know what gender you were having.....
...What did you pack as the baby's going home outfit from the hospital? Did you buy something neutral (white, yellow or green) or did you buy one blue and one pink outfit?

We packed a few things ... mostly Pooh outfits. But when my best friend came to the hospital she brought us the cutest Baby Gap outfit which we decided to dress her when we saw it!!

We went with green - but I think if I'm lucky enough for there to be a next time, I'll buy one in each color so people will know if it's a boy or a girl -- so many people stopped us as we were leaving the hospital to ask. When they are that tiny, it's hard to tell!! Here's Ryan's coming home outfit:

I'm not sure what we'll be doing, but I'm guessing it would be white.

I had a boy outfit with me, and never got a chance to buy a girl outfit so I told my MIL to pass time, if it was a girl, she'd be assigned the task of going to the store to get a girl outfit... turns out we never needed it!
I plan to have one of both again this time around

We're doing something neutral. We have the snowsuit already purchased and it is a very pale yellow with teddy bears. It is difficult to find something here though, either stores refuse to apparently stock for neutral or they are already clearancing the winter stuff (which in Buffalo, you need long sleeved stuff until about May! )

Lee, how CUTE is Ryan in that picture!!!! I took Gianna home in a white outfit my mother had given me at my shower. And I also put a pink sweater that my MIL had made and given me at my shower (she had made a blue one also just in case it was a boy).

I had prepared a yellow outfit, but luckily, a good friend brought a pink outfit for her to go home in. It made me very happy!!!

I bought a pink outfit and a blue outfit, and my mom returned the one we didn't use.

Re: For those of you who didn't know what gender you were having.....
I bought one outfit for each gender. I kept the tags on and returned the boy outfit. I suggest keeping the outfit simple (like a onesie). It will be under a bunch of receiving blankets anyway. I hate to say it but I think I wasted my time and money putting on a 'special' outfit since no one saw it anyway. Plus, she cried when I dressed her and it bothered me to know I was upsetting her. I think the next baby is going to have a onsie- no two piece pants outfit that has to go over the head. Make sure you put a washed undershirt on first if you are going to use an unwashed outfit. I asked my friends how I would keep the tags on the outfit if I had to wash them both before the hospital. They all assured me it was OK to put it on over an undershirt. I was neurotic about having everything washed first so they thought I was crazy.

I bought one of each. However, Briana never got to wear her outfit becaues it was at SIL house, who was planning to wash which ever one we needed. My SIL came down with soem kind of virus, and couldn't come to hospital. BRiana came home in a yellow outfit.

Elizabeth, that is exactly what we are looking for. I can only find 0-3 months and they did look big...hmmmm, I wonder if they have them online.

They have preemie clothes at BRU. They say up to 5lbs, but I think it fits most kids at birth. Forget about it after the first week unless they are born preemie. Children's place preemie clothes fit up to 7lbs.
