For those of you who get along (and even don't) with your FMIL's..

treasure every moment you have with them. My FMIL (who I adore) had finished chemo and radiation for a rare form of breast cancer about 4 months ago, and everything had been fine. About 3 weeks ago, she started having stomach pain, and finally went to the doctor on Thursday. Friday morning, they did a CAT scan, and found the cancer had returned- but to her liver. They said they cannot operate, and can only do chemo and radiation. The doctor told her that she can only live 6 months at a time now- that she should get things in order. She finds out more today about how serious it is right now.

All I keep thinking about is how we may not have her much longer, and that she may not see us get married... I have been crying all weekend about this. So, ladies....treasure every moment you have....

i am so sorry to hear this - and unfortunately i know what you are goin through - if you need anything, please fm me - we lost my wonderful fmil last nov to cancer and are getting married this nov - it was too quick and we were very unprepared. it breaks my heart when i hear baout nasty fmil's/mil's b/c it is not fair that they get to make brides/grooms lives hell and my fmil (who was sweet as can be!) doesn't even get to see us get married. treasure the time you all have now - you odn't want to look back and live in regrets. hang in there - your fh is lucky to have you, as is his whole family.

I am so very sorry to hear that! Unfortunatelly, I know what you and your FH are going through. My MIL passed away 2 weeks ago from ovarian cancer. She was a very fine woman, and even though i only knew her for 2 years I am very gratefull that I even got to know her for that much! It would have been even more devistating if I never got to meet the woman who gave life to my DH and the future father of my children! I am glad that I had the chance to spend time with her and to get to know her! I am glad that you have that chance too!

You FH really needs you right now! And the fact that you love and appreciate his Mother as much as you do, makes you even more important in his life! You and your family are in my thoughts!
