For those of you who got married at the hall...

or if you're planning on it, how are you handling the first row of seats (which is for immediate family like parents). are you getting a 'reserved' sign, or does the hall typically provide that?

Thanks!

we did nothing, and the hall directed people not to sit in the first row

if you have ushers(which i'm not), they will seat people without worrying about lil grandma not being able to see.

I'm assuming that people would know not to sit in the front row, but now that you mention it...it's got me thinking...I can't assume anything! I'm hoping the ushers and the hall will direct them, but I'm now having the DOC put this on her list...

If you don't live under a rock, people know not to sit in the front row. My wedding my parents were under the chuppah the whole time so that didn't matter.

I agree, most people just know not to sit in the front row.

Also, I had my hall look into a riser or platform for us to stand on while getting married. It bothered me to be on the same level as the front row of guests. Am i crazy?

We're having ushers so they'll leave the front rows open for the necessary people. But I think we're going to get bows anyway and put them on the end chairs just to make sure. Plus, it adds to the decoration!!
