Do you feel like your videographer was intrusive in your wedding??
I'm hesitating to get a videographer because the name conjures up an image of people with huge cameras and super bright lights all up in my face while I'm dancing and totally in the middle of everybody and in the way of everything lol. I think the image comes from previous weddings I've been too and I was wondering if things have changed.
TIA

I have the same fear. I know the wedding I went to two weeks ago showed me exactly why I didn't want one...but everyone says I'll regret it...

The videographer was one of my favorite vendors for the wedding. He was so warm and friendly and put me at such ease. I booked him as a package deal with my photographer. I absolutely loved worked with him. He was always there, but I never saw him. When I watched back my video I noticed he caught so many great moments. I didn't even realize he was there for the shots. Could not have been happier with my choice and I know that at least 3 other brides from here booked the video/photo right after me and 2 more girls booked them within a month after the wedding.

A good videographer will never be 'in your face' and often just use the ambient lighting or one small light. I think you'll regret not having a videographer. Don't you want to be able to watch a video of the day? See video of the parts that you missed? Show your children? Grandchildren?

It depends. One wedding I went to he was so in your face w/this huge bright light. And another wedding I went to, I hardly noticed they had one. I guess it really depends. I am still on the fence w/it myself as I absolutely hate seeing myself on camera, but also feel I may regret it later.

same here, i dont even remember them while i was on the dancefloor or anywhere for that matter. In pics i see them now in the background but they were never in my face or intrusive.
