Re: For those of you who had eparties
1. I sent out invites almost a month and a half before with RSVP 3 weeks my final count 2. I didn't have it at home 3. More money, we didn't register, but got some gifts. 4. More friends just because FH has no family here. Only his mom was here on his side. 5. I was so happy with my eparty at CLM hence no ideas!!! But consider it at the park.... a picnic rental is really cheap!

I am hving mine June 9th I sent out the invites last friday and made the RSVP for MAy 18th
We were gonna have it in the yrad but then realized we had too many people so we are having it at eisenhower park. Very laid back, a bunch of people a Keg or 2 ,munchies ,a radio, and then Dinner Buffet style!
I have more family then friends invited but as family cancels i am going to invite more friends. inviting the friends was hard because we are not 100% sure who we have to cut from the wedding list yet. we didnt want to invite them to the E-party and then cant invite them to the wedding!
Hope this helped!

Re: For those of you who had eparties
I haven't had mine yet but it's in 2 weeks. FMIL is planning it, we invited close friends and relatives, only aunts uncles cousins and grandparents, a few more friends than the BP, we are keeping it kinda small, and it is going to be at FMIL's house, and i believe she sent out the invites a month in advance (but everyone knew before because it was a small list so we made sure it was a date everyone could make it to)

the sad part is i told Fh only close family, aunts, uncles, he only has 1 living grandparent, and first cousins only, well he has 20 something 1st cousins and alot of them are married lol. And theyre all close, they go to family functions all the time, see eachother for occasions and all that

Re: For those of you who had eparties
my FSIL planned it at her house, and she sent out the invites, i don't know when.
having it at someones house was GREAT and cheap...and we all felt more comfortable and relaxed. it was really nice.
we got more money. we hardly got any gifts, and we got a lot more money than we thought we would.
we invited only relatives. the only friends were those in the bridal party.
FSIL bought these fake engagement ring charms for the champaigne glasses, and by the end of the night EVERYONE was wearing theirs on their fingers, and people were proposing to each other all over the party. it was really cute and they were a hit.

you totally have enough time. I just have many things going on in May and the beginning of June so I had to get things done early.

1. We sent them out about a two months- 1 1/2 months ahead of time..the party was during the day (jan 7) 2. I had it at papa joes, commack 3. Money (primarily because we didn't have a registry) 4. about the same.. 5. I had a board of wedding tips for bride a groom (it came out great, thanks to my moh, and was fun!), we also had a board of pics of us throughout the years (birth to engagement) heres a pic..
3. we got more money and only 5-6 gifts. We did not register.
4, more relatives than friends. I have a large family. we had 1 table of friends (but Fh and I went to HS together so some of those friends are mutual, we did not invite anyone from work, and there were several who could not make it - ours was thanksgiving weekend) If more could have made it we prob would have had 2 tables of friends)
5. We make a photo card box, everyone loved it. We made our party more like a fancy get together. We didnt do speeches or cake cutting ceremony.. we wanted to save that for the wedding.

1. My party was September 10th and I sent the invites out the 1st week of August.
2. We had it at a restaurant.
3. We got more money than gifts. As for the gifts...we got 5 different pairs of toasting flutes!!
4. We both have big families so we had about 130 people and the majority was family. We only invited our really close friends.
5. Cute ideas....???? Not sure....where are you planning to have it and when??

Re: For those of you who had eparties
1. When did you send out invites and when was the party? We mailed the invites about 7 weeks before the party, but we had a lot of people and did rsvp cards rather than phone calls.
2, Did anyone have it at home? We had ours in a restaurant .... a brunch.
3. Did you get more money or more gifts? We were about an even split ....
4, Did you invite more friends than relatives? We mostly invited relatives, I have a HUGE family! There were very few friends there, just really close ones.

1. - I was late in sending the invites. I sent them about three weeks before the party, but those that were invited I had already let know about two months prior to that. 2 - no, I had mine at a mexican restaurant. It was SO much fun! 3 - i made TONS of cash. A friend told me not to register for gifts before the eparty because then you'll get all your gifts for that instead of the shower. Essentially, the gift money is going to flat out pay for my DJ with some money left over. 4 - No. It was immediate family (aunts, uncles, 1st cousins) and bridal party only. we had 40 people. 5 - We gave out little goodie bags of mini tequila bottles and plastic shot glasses.
