For those of you who had or are having an E-Party...

What are you doing for music?

Our E-Party is April 23, at a 'hall' and we're trying to to decide if we want a DJ or just play pre-recorded CDs that we make up in advance.

Thanks!!

My brother owns a small dj company, so he is doing the e-party for us. If you want any details fm me.

I think it depends on the tone of the party. I went to an E-party not long ago, also in a hall, where they played CDs and it was fine, because it gave people the opportunity to talk and meet one another. If you want more dancing and excitement, then I think a DJ might be better.

I had a lot of people....DJ was a must!
He could of been a better one but people danced. The party was in a hall.

I kept it simple...i didnt want to go all out...
we had it catered....and it was at a hall...ew had music playing....
We made this party a point to meet all the important people in both families and a time to chat and spend time with everyone!!!

We had our e-party at my fil's house. Rented a tent, had it catered, but still had a laid-back feel. We hired a musician who played guitar as sort of 'background' music (lots of stuff in the DMB, james taylor type mood...). Everyone loved him. Two other couples then hired him for their CH music at their weddings

I recently had my party and went to Best Buy and got the radio transimtter for my IPOD (or any MP3 Player). I transmitted all my songs into the radio and boom - never thought about music all night long.

People danced, it was fun - and there was no need for a musician or dj. I actually was going to hire a guitar player to do the laid-back thing... but this turned out better and I saved money!

You don't need a DJ to have fun!

We are having it at a hall and we are just going to play CDs...I didn't want to make it a big thing

Ours was small and at a hall. My FH downloaded songs into his Ipod and set it up with speakers. It worked great.

Thank you all for your input. The biggest reason for this pole was FH was being SO indecisive (and he thinks I'M the indecisive one!!). I got a great price on a DJ from my brother's friend who owns his own company, so we're having a DJ!

Thanks for your thoughts and inputs.

P.S. E-Party is 9 weeks from Sat!!
