for those of you who have booked bands...

how much of a deposit do you put down when you book a band?

I think it depends on the band and what they want. I only had to put down 10%.

It all depends on the band. Ours wanted about 25%

i agree...
with me it was different manager of the band is my cousin, so I didn't put a deposit down, just told me to pay the night of the wedding after everyone leaves, or the next day .

We put down $600 and then a month or two later (I don't remember) we had to pay another $600. The rest is due two weeks before or that night.

It really depends on the band. But we put $875, then a month later another $875, and the balance is due the day of.

We had to put down $750 when we booked. Then 6 months before the wedding, we put down 1/2 of the total cost minus the $750. The last 1/2 of the total is due on the wedding day.

We put $1000 down when we booked, we just payed another $1500 and the balance of $3000 is due a week before.

we paid $1500 when we signed the contract. the balance is due in cash the day of the wedding.

This is what we had to do also. We are using Skyline of Skyline Orchestras.
