For those of you who just moved into your new home. what moving company did you use?

For those of you who just moved into your new home. what moving company did you use?

My gf is moving into a new home (from another home) and needs a moving company.

any help would be great.

I used Father and Son Moving Company and had no problems with them. I had called the Brooklyn location but the back of the trcuks aid they also had locations in LI adn NJ (among others). I don't have the number at work. A friend at work recommended them to me.

My friend and her mom both recently moved and used Loungecraft based in Maspeth. Her mom has done a lot of investigative work and really liked them. I met with them and liked them but they were pricer (hourly rate) than Father and Son and wanted more money for my big screen tv and wrapping my china closet's shelves and stuff. Thanks!! she's moving from E. Massapequa to Nassau Shores section of Massapequa. not a far trip..

Tell her be careful because some movers have min. number of hours and travel time. Not totally sure how they work this. For me Queens (2 bedroom, 1st floor apartment) to Bellmore (2-floor home), it was 2 hour travel (no matter what) and then a min. of 6 hours work. The entire move incl. travel took six hours, so basically I paid for 8 .
