DH and I will be in Orlando at the Animal Kingdom Lodge for two days in May. Does anyone know of a great restautant? Looking for great food, price doesn't matter much. Does not have to be Disney. Since we have such a short time, I want to make it great! Any suggestions? Thanks! Deb

I know you said it does not have to be disney, but they have som many great restaurants! The Grand Floridian has one- I think it is called Victoria and Alberts.

Yes its Victoria and Alberts in the grand floridian, but thats VERY formal.. I suggest Narcoosees in G floridian.. there is also the Coral Reef with the HUGE fish tank that is in the resturant!! France is GREAT in epcot. The brown derby is cute!

My recommendation would be Les Chefs de France in Epcot. DH and I have been to Disney 6 times together (he has been there 15 times total) and this is by far our favorite. The food is totally awesome. Dress is casual, but it is a bit pricey, although well worth it! If you are interested you should make a reservation as it is sometimes hard to get a seat there.
Edited to add..if you have dinner here make sure you save room for dessert. It is like a food orgas*.

Alfredo's in the Italian Pavillion in Epcot has wonderful food. Victoria and Albert's in also terrific.
Patrick and I are staying at the Animal Kingdom Lodge the last week in June. You have to let me know how it is. We are really looking forward to it!

I did not stay there, but I ate at the restaurant there. It was good! My brother took his wife to Victoria and Alberts- they have a private table in the back where the chef makes food just for you- very expensive, but it was like 12 courses and he said it was delicious.

We have been there a few times:
By far our favorite restaurant is the Yachtsman Steakhouse at the Yacht Club. IMO, it is better then Mortons and other steakhouses here.
I like the breakfast buffet at the Beach CLub - you definitely need reservations there.
For a more casual meal we like Boatrights at Port Orleans - Dixie Landings Side. The menu is pretty basic but in the lobby of the hotel is a piano bar guy that is absolutely hilarious!!!!!!!!!! He alone is worth the trip to the hotel - I think he there Thurs - Sun starting at 8.00pm.
I hope you have a great time!!!!!!!!!!!!!11

Oh my favorite topic lol : )
Victoria and Alberts is a great restaurant, awesome food and very romantic.
California Grill is really nice and you can see the fireworks from the Magic Kingdom there.
Artist's Point is really nice too. Romantic if you like the 'woodsie outdoor' feeling.
Spoodles on the boardwalk was great and then you can stop off at Jelly Rolls a great dueling piano bar.
There is also Emeril's restaurant on the Universal City Walk. It was awesome.
Have fun!!!!
