For those of you with nice arms...

You know- arms that are not too muscular, but always look toned even when you are not flexing.....
How do you do it? Please tell me so I can duplicate!!

C'mon- don't be shy!

YOGA!!! It is the best toning exercise for arms. I also lift light weights about 2x a week. Arms are the easiest body part to tone up quickly IMO as long as you are consistent.

I uaually lift 5lb. weights several times a week. Not too heavy, and not too light.

Do you use a yoga video?

I take a class 2x a week but I'm sure yoga tapes would work just as well. Its all about your own body weight and the resiatance you are putting on your muscles from the poses - it produces terrific toninig without bulking (i HATE bulky arms!)

I lift about 4-5 times a week. I aup to 15 pound weights now. Once you are comfortable with the same weight you are doing, increase it. You will see results. You also have to do cardio with it.

Good Luck!!!

Not just toning - you need cardio 3 - 4 times a week. You can tone your arms all you want, but if you have too much fat, your arms will still look flabby.
So, cardio and weights (or some form of resistance training). Work your arms twice a week. Dips are great for triceps and so are push-ups. That can be done at home if you don't belong to a gym. For biceps you would do biceps curls.

Good luck!

I go to curves, but don't think it's enough. Maybe i haven't been going long enough- my arms got 1/2 inch bigger since I started.

Re: For those of you with nice arms...

Just do enough weight where when you complete 12 - 15 reps your muscles are fatigued (I'm talking your arms are shaking and you can't do another rep). Contract the muscle hard with each rep. You'll see results fast, don't worry...
Remember good nutrition too

Re: For those of you with nice arms...

Am so glad someone asked this question! I've been trying to tone my arms too!! The biceps are working - basically just do bicep curls. The triceps are doing ok - you can see a difference but...I want the definition in the shoulder part -- I've been doing arm raises front and side and overhead. Anything else??

Re: For those of you with nice arms...

I like to refer to my arms as 'underwater arms', because they jiggle like they're underwater!! Why is that when I write on the chalkboard for the class, and I stop writing, my arm is still shakin' away??!! I soooo need to tone up!!!!
