For those taking pictures before the ceremony...

How many hours are you dedicating to picture taking? I want to get all my pics in before but I have no idea how long they will take.

2.5 hours - this was based on the photographer's advice.

The photographer and makeup/hair artist coordinated amongst themselves and then told me where to be and when.

the photographer should tell you whens a good time. My photographer is coming to my house at 2 and we are going to take pics at 3 then the boys need to be at the chuch at 5.

So short answer 2 1/2 hours..:)

I agree with everyone else. I think we are doing between 2 and 2.5 hours. Ceremony is at 3:30 and Ch is at 6:30.

I'm thinking 3 hours - starting at home then we're going to the planting fields then to the RH for more pics. I don't want to miss out on photos that day.

Same here. we told him when our ceremony started and when we were 'allowed' to be at our RH and he gave us the times.

Me either...and I def do NOT want to have to take more pics after my ceremony because we couldn't get them all in before...there is no WAY I'm not eating all the yummy food at my CH!

About 2 hours.

This has me worried. We are allowed to be at our RH an hour before the ceremony begins and that is where we are taking pics. So...we dedicated one hour...which is apparently not enough time! It is an early day to begin with. The photog will get to my house around 8 to take getting-ready pics and we will leave my house around 9:45-10:00 after taking 'first sight' pics when the limo with FH and the boys gets to my house (we are all going in one limo) and then we will head to the RH to get there by 11am. The ceremony begins at 12pm.

I too, have an early wedding.
So this is my plan...
I don't want getting ready pics as in Make-up /hair.
I do want pics of me getting in dress and the antics after.
So 9-10 me in dress etc...
10-11/11:30 (ceremony is a11 :30 and gonna be VERY short). Me and FH. My wedding party is small. So not much. Then it's just portraits of us and family.

Honestly, a good photog should not take more than an hour for portraits provided your families aren't HUGE and you are staying in the grounds of RH.

Maybe some of you pressed for time can take just FH pics and then family during CH.

I want to enjoy my CH. Even if it's for 45 minutes!
