Did you have a hard time peeing? Did you need help with the dress? I am dreading it. I pee almost 2x an hour because of all the water I drink and when I'm not drinking it, my bladder almost knows it still needs to keep up with the regular sched. I dont plan on so much as taking a sip of ANYTHING until well into the reception

Re: For those that ARE married
its so funny but i was dreading having to go to the bathroom. My dress was big and i was so afraid of this...finally in the middle of the reception i REALLY had to pee, and it was just dh and i, in the bridal suite so i asked him if he can come with me in the bathroom which luckily we had a big bathroom in the bridal suite...We lifted my dress before i even attempted to start peeing and getting near the toilet, i backed up and he held the whole back up for me while i held onto the front and it actually worked out quite fine. I had to pee a 2nd time later on and the 2nd time i wasnt worried at all and dh helped me again
eta: the first time i had to pee i held it in for a bit bc i was so nervous about it hahahaha

Re: For those that ARE married
for me i peed twice at the RH before the actual ceremony. I was so nervous and we were there about 2 hrs before the ceremony for pics so i was drinking some champagne. My MOH was so good about helping me because you are definitely going to need help holding up the dress so it doesnt fall in
Fortunately once the reception starts you are so busy that you're probably not going to need to pee. Ive seen some other brides say the same thing about not peeing all night. If you do go tho, make sure you have someone help in there.

Re: For those that ARE married
not a stupid question.....i thought about the same thing before our wedding because i pee so much. thankfully though, i only had to go once, right after our ceremony and 3 of my closest girlfriends in the world came in to hold up my dress. it wasn't the most fun i've ever had, but it worked!! :) everybody told me not to worry that i would be too busy to go to the bathroom and once the cocktail hour started, that was true! it honestly didn't even occur to me until we got back to the hotel after it was over!
chances are, you won't pee all day, or you'll only go once. i would say to keep the drinking (water or otherwise) to a minimum and just make sure you have some good friends around in case you do have to go!

Re: For those that ARE married
I am soo worried about this!!! I'm the one at the bar that if a friend breaks the 'seal'...I'm the one who has to go!!! I'm the girlfriend who don't want to go to the bathroom with another girlfriend!!!!!!!!!!!
FH said he'd help me...and I know my BM's will help...but I have 2 friends that are RN's and I wouldn't mind a foley bag!!!!
J/K!!
When you gotta go you gotta go and you aren't going to be shy!!! I'm sure you rBP is expecting it and when all else fails...there can be a mom, grandma or aunt who changed your diapers and would have no problem helping you hold up your dress!!!

dont forget your fh, thats the only person who helped me...i didnt go to the regular bathroom bc i probably wouldnt have fit through the stall, the bridal suite bathrooms are pretty big so thats whats good.
its funny bc my dress was even too big for the door on the bus, i had to push my dress in and go a bit sideways to get on

FH is all about helping me (only cause I think he has alterior motives!!!) but...we have no bathroom in out bridal suite. Which is fine with us. Also...I could bet a kidney that my bridal party...all two of them will help me no matter what! I didn't know why then I realized....I have no train and although I am poofy....all they have to do is hold it up and I'll be fine...there is no trick to my dress!!! Now I know why they were so much happier when I put on the dress I choose compared to the one I wanted!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!

Re: For those that ARE married
I was nervous about this too, but it was done very well. I went once in the whole 8 hours I was in my gown!!
The bridal attendant and I were in the room alone and she held up the gown for me and turned on the faucet to the sink. It made it soooo much less awkward because she didn't hear me pee! And, the gown was so big, that she didn't see anything. It was a very surprisingly comfortable experience.

Re: For those that ARE married
i was worried about it too ... and actually got a dress that was 2 pieces (the bodice was separate from the skirt) so i could step out of the dress if i needed to use the facilities.
i actually didn't use the bathroom at all, from the time i left the hotel at 3pm until i got back to the hotel after 2am.
i was so wrapped up in everything going on, and didn't really drink much during the day or night ... i just never had to go.
it sounds crazy ... but its true, i swear!

Re: For those that ARE married
i always thought if your dress had a zipper you could just slip out of it to pee....i know this isnt possible with a corset dress, but def with a zipper....no??

Re: For those that ARE married
it was so weird. usually i have to pee on the hour. but on my wedding i think i only went 2x. honestly i wasn't too worried cos my dress wasn't too puffy. my sister gave me a hand. thats what MOH are for ! its their duty !
i wouldn't worry. that day goes soo fast you won't even realize u have to go.

I didnt pee once!!!! I peed right before I put my dress on, and I probably didnt drink much the whole night, so my MOH was off the hook helping me that night. lol

My dress was not a huge puffy dress, so I can't really help but I just have to say that it is kinda funny reading this

Re: For those that ARE married
my two girls helped me pee right before the ceremony. That went fine. I was nervous in the limo that i'd have to go #2, due to nerves (i know TMI!) But luckily that didn't happen and i didn't go at all for the rest of the night!

Re: For those that ARE married
I'm the same way...this was my fear too. I had a poufy dress with lots of crinoline, and I was sure I'd need 2 people to help me. But I was able to do it by myself! And honestly, you are so absorbed in other things that day that you arent really thinking about having to pee all the time.

Re: For those that ARE married
my bridal attendant lifted my dress for me... i only peed twice and then started to cut back on the drinks b/c i didnt want to spend all my time in the bathroom haha
i have absolutly no shame in that area so i didnt mind having a stranger seeing me pee... she was around my age and REALLY awesome so it was fine. but i can see if you are shy about that stuff, you may run into an issue b/c i DEF would NEVER have been able to do it myself!!!
good luck!!

Re: For those that ARE married
I went to the Bridal Suite to pee and actually just took off my whole dress...bra and all (my bra was attached to my dress). It was probably alot easier and quicker instead of having my MOH try and hold up my whole dress!

Re: For those that ARE married
i only peed once that whole day which is insane cuz i pee alot and i did it right when i was changing into my purple slip in the bridal suite so my dress wasnt as big and poofy. i just lfted up the dress, put the back of the dress to the front and peed. it was easy.

Yea i totally thought i'd be peeing 50x but i only peed once and both rosella (my MOH) and the BA helped....it was basically like backing up a truck. Ur BA is a pro though...this is part of their job. They're used to it, they'll help!
