For those that are using Silverfox I have a question
Are you adding a second photographer the photojournalist? If so what is the reason why. I'm just wondering what the pros are to having the second photographer. Thanks for your help.

I'm not using silver fox but when I was looking for photogs, the second shooter was something on my must-have list. They're basically the one getting all the candid, artsy pictures, while the main shooter is walking around with the list of must-have shots. That's just the type of photo I wanted though.. A mix of traditional portraits and candid phtoojournalistic shots. It adds a little drama to the pics and especially the album :)

I spoke to my fh yesterday and he said he would definitely rather have more pictures then video and if we had to make a choice he would rather have a second photographer. Since we agreed in the beginning not to have video i'm now swaying towards the second photographer.

I'm using Silverfox and we went with the 2md photographer. Their standard package includes the 2nd photographer for only 8 hours, we bumped it up so that we have both photographers for 10 hours. I was told that you need the 2nd photographer if you have a larger wedding. Just so that they can capture everything that's going on. I think it's also helpful for the 'getting ready' portion when you are in two separate areas. They tend to both cover the formal shots, but it's great to have them walking around during the cocktail hour and reception so they don't miss anything. One big thing we that was really important to us was having the photographer stay the ENTIRE wedding.
One of our friends let them leave after cake cutting to save money. My FH has 6 best friends who have all been close since HS. They all ended up sitting on the floor with their arms around each other singing a song together, but the photographer had already left so we only have iphone pics of it. The pictures we have are incredible, but it would've been AMAZING if we had professional pics. Everyone is really sad we don't.
