For those that bought there shoes....

Im so confused...My dress came in and the woman told me to bring my undergarments and shoes to my first fitting, but dont my shoes need to match the color of my dress. Do i buy the shoes first, and then dye them to match...HELP!

I had the same ivory dilemma.

Why don't you just bring shoes that are the height that you plan on wearing?

I ordered a pair of ivory shoes on this site:

Shoes

They have free return shipping. I figured if they didn't match my swatch, I would just exchange them for the white pair and get the white ones dyed.

does your dress have any embroidery....maybe you can pick up the color of the embroidery in your shoes...

I bought these at macy's (I have gold tone embroidery in ivory dress)

I got a hollow to hem dress and was measured with 2 3/4 heels. So I knew that I needed shoes with a heel no bigger. I ended up buying silver shoes with a 2 3/4 heel.

My dress is pearl. My shoes are white. They DO NOT match at all. I saw this when I ordered my dress and used the shoes in the dressing room. If my dress were a ball gown dress and nobody would see my feet I wouldnt care. But my feet do show with every step I take. Sooooooo...I got a swatch from the manufacturer and I am taking them to a shoe-maker who dyes shoes. It kills me to have to dye such expensive shoes but there is a marked difference in color betewen pearl and ivory - especially under lights. If I can see it in a poorly lit dressing room, then the photographer's flash will show it even more. After the wedding, I am dying my shoes black!
