you can definitely find it in the supermarket .. I've purchased this stuff .. I think near the BBQ sauces, Saucy Susan type of things.

Maybe William Sonoma?

Here's a picture of the bottle of the brand I use .. it's a fairly small bottle, in comparsion to what it's next to on the shelves in the supermarket .. but when you cook with it .. you only use a couple of drops anyway .. so it goes a long way.

You can also purchase it on-line .. at this link:

Thanks- we actually ended up finding it at Waldbaums after looking at Pathmark and King Kullen . . .

Cool .. enjoy!! That stuff is pretty potent! If you're using it indoors .. makes it smell like you've got a big BBQ going on!

It's used to give that smoky BBQ flavor...I used it for these 'spicey pecans'.

It's available in all supermarkets as far as I know...I bought it at Stop N Shop.

I can't explain the science behind it!

But I use it mostly for spare ribs .. I add a few drops to the water I boil ribs in .. when the ribs come out of the boil-bath .. I brush them with BBQ sauce .. then either grill them for a few minutes til their our desired doneness, otherwise they go in the oven.

I just feel like the liquid smoke gives it that extra kick of flavor through the meat.
