For those that have already gotten married

How many people did you originally invite versus how many actually came? It is true that 15-20% will say no?

We invited 330 & our final count was 251.

we invited 240...but that included

20 out of country
10 invites to coworkers I knew wouldn't come, but invited just to keep the peace
and everyone with guests...we had a good 20-30 singles at the wedding

We invited about 130 and had 94. Of course-we had a bunch of no shows since the weather was really bad.

We invited 200 and had around 140 say yes.
Some were from out of the state and out of the country so we knew they couldn't come.
We also had a handful that never showed up and said they would.

201 invited; 101 attended
at least 40 were invited as a 'nicety' as we never thought they would travel to come (and they didnt)

We invited 136 and have 110 coming to the wedding. I am still waiting for 4 responses (8 people) though

Our % was sky high
We invited 275 - 206 responded yes, but noew we have 196 - last minute cancellations

Invited 219, had 165 (75%). We are from out of town, so we invited a lot from out of town. I think time of year will also effect your % - some months have more potential for conflicts than others.

We invited about 200 and our final head count is 148. That was with us knowing that at least 15 of them were going to say no.

Anybody have any more numbers? What if you had mostly LI guests? That is the case and we are way over our room max so I have to be careful how many we invite.
