For those that have been to the Bahamas recently . . .
I've heard some stories about really horrible wait times at the airport at Nassau on the way home, and that lots of people missed their flights because they didn't get to the airport early enough.
If you have been to the Bahamas recently, can you tell me if you had this experience, and also, on what day did you fly home? Was it mid-week, or at the end of the week? I'm hoping since we're leaving the Bahamas on a random middle-of-the-week night that the airport won't be as bad, but I don't know if we can depend on that.
If anyone has heard or experienced anything, please let me know.
THANKS!!!

Oh perfect, we are flying home on a Tuesday night too... But I've heard some horror stories from people that left on Sundays - maybe there is a difference since Sunday is a more common day to fly home... I'll make sure to give us plenty of time though - thanks!

My brother was there in February and also had no problems...

We flew home on Saturday afternoon and had no problem at all. We were nervous too because we had told them the wrong time at the hotel by mistake so we only left the Atlantis 2 hours before the flight. We were fine though.

Oh! you stayed at the atlantis too! I can't wait - off topic but do you know if they have a nice gym there? I'm thinking they must? thanks.

I just looked it up on the website and they do have a nice gym... you just have to buy a pass to go to it... Oh, and another cool thing, they do a body composition analysis for you to read your body fat and water percentage. coooooooooooool

I stayed at the Atlantis as and we used the gym for about half the days we were there. You have to buy packages though - per person, you can buy one day or more packages. I can't remember exactly how much it was right now but, I remember it was definitely not that reasonable. They have a lap pool outside the gym that is much less crowded than the other pools on the property and you don't have to join the gym to use the pool.

thanks, I found the prices. it's 12.00 per person per day, or 40 per person for three days... LOL Maybe I'll buy one day so I can do some weight traiining, but other than that, I'll run on the beach.
