For those that have daycare....

im trying to put together a budget, including thefuture daycare costs...

how much is it for daycare for the full 5 days year round?

i know if varies place to place... just trying to get an estimate thanks!

I just checked out 2 places: One was in lower Manhattan and was (I thought, not DH) really nice - it was about $1400 plus tax per month and they do not provide anything for you (diapers, food, etc.). The other was in Brooklyn, not as nice, and it was I think $1250 per month (again nothing included). The prices are both for full time.

My son went to a womans house in Southampton where she had about 5 kids and the cost was about $200 a week - she didn't provide food.

My son went to Kiddie Academy, but only 3 days a week. It was $620 for the month and hot lunches and snack were provided.

As a baby my son went to a babysitter - she was $150 a week and didn't provide anything.
When he turned 2 1/2 I put him in a day care/preschool. He was potty trained so she provided everything. (breakfast,lunch and snacks.)
ETA: Forgot to add she was also $150 a week for five full days.
