For those that used white roses

Hi Brides ... for those that used white roses in your bridal flowers, did you find that they started to wilt or turn yellowish as the night went on?

Also, did anyone use ivory roses? Is there such a thing?

Thank You!!!

Re: For those that used white roses

from what my florist told me, there are no true 'white' roses...I had cream roses along with pink and stephonitis(sp?) and it did not turn yellow

Re: For those that used white roses

nearly all white roses are cream or ivory. there are a few pure white. the cream are much heartier than the pure white. you shouldnt have any problem with browning unless you are using extremely open roses. the roses may have a few spots here and there of brown but remember flowers are a product of nature - each and every stem is not meant to look perfect at all times - no matter what flower or color you use.

Re: For those that used white roses

I'm having ivory or cream roses, they're called Vendela. I have a bunch right now, got them at BJ's. My sister saw the name at BJ's and we went back to get them. They're gorgeous, I'm glad I chose them.

Re: For those that used white roses

The ivory/cream ones are called vendela roses. Whiter roses are akito, bianca and eskimo roses. I'm using a mix of the akito, vendella and a pale pink in my bo-k.

I used these for my BMs! Our florist brought out an entire selection of white/cream colored roses and I liked these the best.

They did not wilt or turn yellow as the night went on.

I am using cream/ivory roses and they are called 'Timeless.' I have them in a vase right now to see how they stand up to wilting, etc... so far so good and we are on day 5!
