For those that work around heavy phones..... VENT!!

I have been noticing quite frequently, that when I pick up at work, an awful lot of people do not respond to my greeting. I think it is mainly because they are having a WHOLE conversation with someone else in the background!! HELLO??? You called me, I shouldn't have to wait five minutes while you tell your co-worker what you want for lunch!! This really angers me considering my job is service related. I am here to help!! Anybody notice in recent years a huge decline in telephone etiquette?

Absolutely..let's start with my sister. She will always call when her kids are in the middle of Wrestlemania VIIII so that I get the priviledge of hearing her scream at her children, or they're screaming so loud in the background I can hardly hear her. Why don't you call me when the kiddies are asleep?

Don't even get me started on clients They think because they are not directly in front of us, they can abuse us any way they please.

my girlfriend is the worst .... she never says goodbye and when she calls she always has to make fun of my name and call me planetjanet or something like it! come on we are not in hs anymore! my 30th bday is this year and she is already started on that... i am waiting for when it gets closer not!

My best friend does the same thing! Except her son is 2, and he HAS to have whatever she has in her hands, be it a book, a spoon, the remote control, or the phone. SO, he SCREAMS like a banshee until he gets what he wants, usually RIGHT into the phone!

Now she tries to call me during her commute home from work, but when she's home, I could go deaf!
