FM is Fertility Monitor!! Laura, great price!! I ordered the 30 sticks when I ordered my FM from Drugstore.com. It came w/ 20 sticks, and I was lucky enough to only use it for 2 cycles, even though I had to use 20 sticks per cycle... I have 10 left! I hope they don't expire by next Spring when we try for #2!!

Good luck!!

Can someone please explain to me how the FM works and why it is better than the strips! Thanks

Re: For those using FM

From the company website:
An over the counter conception aid that can help you maximize your chances of conceiving your baby better than any other method. The ClearPlan Easy Fertility Monitor is the most advanced technology available without a prescription. It is the first and only palm-sized electronic system that monitors your personal hormones to provide you with an unmistakable display of your personal level of fertility every day of your cycle. The ClearPlan Easy Fertility Monitor measures 2 key hormones to more accurately identify more fertile days than any other over the counter method while storing your personalized data for up to six cycles.

So bascially with a OPK you only test on a few days per month, and you might miss your O day or spend lots and lots of $$ on test sticks. Also the OPKs can be difficult to read, from what I understand. I have never used on before. With this, you test everyday and the computer tells you the results. It is just more accurate.

Michele do you think it is worth it?? I got that book but it was too much info after a whole week at work on Friday so I am going to read it tonight lol!!!

Re: For those using FM

At first I wasnt going to do anything(no charting, no sticks, etc) then the more I thought about it I thought ok maybe OPK's-- but then when it came down to it I was like lets see if I can get a deal--and for me I never thought i would spend the money but I feel better knowing that if it takes us 6 months to a year at least I know that I was doing it right(ie not THAT part but the timing part )
So the fact that I got it for almost half off def makes me feel better knowing that I am doing everything I can--also I LOVE gadgets--so this def fits in!!!
I heard that Costco has them for under $40 -- will check it out and report back--
Michele31-- have you been on the Epregnancy board? I think I saw your name or something similar this weekend!!!

Re: For those using FM

Some women say the FM really helped them get PG. It is to help you know when the best time is to TTC. I think it helps a lot of women (I don't have one yet), feel more in control over their cycle and timing of TTC. I think it is a personal decision and depends on how badly you want to get pg? Some women TTC for many months/years and don't mind when they aren't. But if you have medical reasons why you are not getting PG I have no idea if it would help or not.
I am Michele31 on sooo many boards. Even the Trading Spaces board. Scott told me that I should change my name to Michele 31 in the 'outside' world
