For those who are using BM separates or giving BM choices........

I'm getting

Who are you/did you use?
I am considering picking one color/fabric from a designer and having girls pick a dress from within those choices...
Or, picking a designer and letting girls pick separates......
I am thinking of going this route b/c I have a large BP and many diferent tastes/sizes....
any ideas before I

My girls wore Alfred Angelo Seperates. Same color but every girl wore a different top.

I let them all pick out their own Vera Wang gown in chocolate. The only parameters were that it be a gown, satin, and chocolate in color. They all picked different ones. I am really happy that I did it because they all got what they liked.

Here is a picture. Not the best one I have but you get the idea..... With the exception of the little ones my Junior Bridesmaids who wore Davids Bridal.

They were all really happy because they were spending money on a dress that they liked. They picked it out. We all went together and they tried it on. They all liked on skirt and they decided that they each should have diffrent tops,

I am using Alfred Angelo too....the separates. I didnt want to tell my girls they have to wear a certain dress. There is a 100lb difference between the smallest and largest girl - I wanted them to pick what flatters them the best.

I have a large bridal party and there was no way 8 ladies would agreee or liked what I picked..Since they are all over the US, I told them to head to David's bridal and I gave them these limitations. Wine and Satin Material...the rest was up to them. I only had 2 girls pick the same dress! The girls all seem to like this idea.

Edited to say..my MOH chose a dress that was both gorgette fabric and satin and no one was aloud to chose that dress..she got 1st pick

Bill Levkoff separates...theya had 15 tops to chose from & 3 skirts....I had 8 girls... my MOH wore an alfred angelo full dress

I went with Jim Hjem, Driftwood Satin. From there, they all chose their own dresses. They all ended up getting strapless but I didn't dictate that. A few ended up getting the same dress. To unify them all, I bought them all shawls to wear during the ceremony. My 2 MOH will have a different color shawl so they stand out as different.

We are doing Lazaro separates. The MOH has a different top. And the BMs are all in the same top and bottom. I would highly recommend YOU choose the designer, fabric and the color. Many designers have a variety of different fabrics and even if they have the same color name, the color can vary a great deal depending on the fabric. Also, the color may not be available in a different fabric.

For instance, Lazaro uses a silk shatung fabric for some of their separates. Our BMs gowns are in irridescent tafetta in wine. The silk shatung does not come in wine and the next closest color is WAY off.

I am using impressions bridal. The MOH's will wear the strapless and the BM the other top. All the same color and skirt.

I am doing this too. I have an appt at Jenny Yoo next Sat to see everything in person, but so far I and my BM's are sold on what's on the web site.

my BM got their seperates from David's Bridal... I picked out the color and skirt and then they each got a different top... I can't wait to see what they look like in the pics...
