How much of a deposit did you have to put down to book your honeymoon. FH and I have been getting quotes and he says the deposit is the total price of the flight which is alot of money . Please tell me he is wrong!!

Yes if the flights are out, you need to pay for the price of the airfare + land. I think that is true even if you don't book through a travel agent though.

Mine was 500 for cruise and the whole flight it came to almost 1500....

no - for a week at a resort. I think the total bill is about $5000, so i guess you could say it was 10%. HTH!

I didn't book airfare with my TA (I used points) but before she knew that, she mentioned I would need a $300 deposit (for sandals) and have to pay the airfare in full.. I think it's pretty standard because they can't hold flights like hotel rooms.. You have to pay in full in order to guarantee the price of the ticket

We’re going on a cruise, but booking the flights & hotel ourselves. We out down $800, and have to pay in full 3 months before the sailing date.

i did not book my flight with my TA bc he didnt give us any deal for that--- and we paid the whole thing on a credit card bill that month--- it was rough but we couldnt find a way around it!

Sorry to say, but its right. We had to pay for all our flights in total to book, as well as leave deposits for the hotels.

we had a $300 deposit but i just looked at the contract and it looks like FH paid off $4700 of it right now i guess that's a good thing

You always have to pay for the flights in full to book them. We paid for our flight and a $300 deposit toward our hotel
