I am planning on doing this too The recent wedding I went to had a signature drink and it was called 'the wonder Wheel' The drink was red, sorta like a nice cosmo. It was named after the place he proposed to her....which was at coney island. The drink was served at cocktail hour.
And another bride I know just combined the beginning of her and her husbands first name and that was the name of their drink.

We had 2 signature drinks which were named after our nicknames that everyone calls us and we each picked our favorite drink. There were the featured drinks throughout the night. Guests got offered one when they walked in the door and then signs were posted on all the bars telling what they were

We had 2 signature drinks one alcoholic and one non alcoholic, but both were purple. They were soooooooooo yummy.
One was called Love potion #22 (we were married on the 22) and Honeymoon cosmo
Love potion 22 had coconut rum, triple sec, blue curacou, and a splash of cranberry
HOneymoon cosmo had grape juice, pineapple juice, sprite, and grenadine.

We did a French martini and called it, 'm&m martini' for Meredith & Matt' we had signs up for both cocktail and reception

We had two signature drinks. They were called 'Something Blue' and 'Wedding Cake Martini'
Here is a picture my photog took of the signature drink sign I created.
we just took the recipe for a fuzzy navel and called it something funny that reflected our last name
i made a couple of signs for the bars. that was it.
the RH said as long as they had the ingredients, they would do it for us - so i tried to keep it simple.
we had it at the CH and the reception

i bought the free oversized postcards from vistaprint. they were free and i paid like $4 to ship them. then i bought like 8 frames that were the size of teh postcard and framed them to be put on the bars. we had rolling bars at our RH so there were 4 of them i think - 2 signs at each bar

No problem!! Me and my sister went and sat at a bar until we found ones we loved. lol. I can even mail you the sign template we used...you can always change it up. I'd post a pic...but my photobucket account deactivated my links until the 22nd because I used too many. lol

Did you have to pay extra for having a signature drink? Our BM mentioned the option of having a signature drink at the bar, plus potentially having them passed out in lieu of the champagne and strawberries before the ceremony.

I have been to a few weddings that did the signature drink and it was great.....it definitely had people talking and showed part of the bride / groom to all the guests. I love the idea of doing the signature drink!
