for tossing in the cones, you put them together that day? and was this annoying to do, since you had to wait till the day of to prepare.

Re: For those who did rose petals
I was wondering the same thing! Who is responsible for this? My florist is providing them-but you don't get the flowers till that day--ahh!

Re: For those who did rose petals
My DH made the cones himself, by cutting paper into squares, and the rolling the cone up and securing it with double-sided tape. The cones you buy online were OUTRAGEOUSLY expensive, and the quality of the paper was terrible. So we used our own paper and made them for something like one third of the price.
My sister-in-law filled the cones with petals (they were freeze-dried) the day before the wedding. She put them all in a basket, and brought the basket with her the day of the wedding. It really wasn't a big deal, I would worry too much about it.
If you're using fresh petals, though, I think it's a different story.....

Re: For those who did rose petals
I did the cones a few days beforehand and had my coordinator fill the cones with the petals the morning of.
If I didnt have a coordinator, I would have had one of my friends do it. It didnt take that long and was pretty simple to do once the cones were all lined up in a box.

Re: For those who did rose petals
I made them myself. I went to Staples and bought nice paper, I copied the wedding march on both sides rolled them up, put them in the baskets and on the day of my wedding, one of my BM put the flowers in the cones. I made 75 and they came out beautiful and I got so many compliments on them. Cheap and easy.

Re: For those who did rose petals
Sorry for being a dunce, but what are the cones for? Are the rose petals for throwing, like rice?
How much is your florist charging for fresh rose petals? I want to line the aisle to the alter with rose petals but was planning on buying a couple of dozen myself and have someone in the bridal party to spread them that morning. What do you think?
