for those who DIY'ed cardboxes
or will do it... what material did you use to cover the boxes? fabric? paper? vinyl? i have no idea where to start

fabric and glue it on using a hot glue gun.

Fabric.
I used a fabric glue called Sobo. I also used Glue Strips & a hot glue gun on some parts.
