For those who got your bridesmaids dresses from Macy's in Manhasset...

..I just got a call that they are in and 'the girls can call and make apointments for fittings'. Now they already paid for half the dress including alterations added on. We were told that the alteration price would be taken off when they dresses are picked up if they don't want to use Macy's for this service. My question is, should I call and say that the girls will just be coming in to pick up the dresses and pay the balance (that does not include alterations) and thats it. Ugghh. I feel like they will give us a hard time. Has anyone else done this? Thanks!

Hi! I ordered my BM's gowns there too and so far they were very sweet with everything... They told me that if we didn't want to have the alterations done there, then they would credit the alteration deposit. It is not set in stone that they HAVE to get them done there.... I don't think they should give your girls a problem at all... I'm not sure if I'd call, rather than just saying something when the dresses are picked up... but to reassure yourself, there is no harm in calling and making sure they will not be given a hard time... I think they'll be alright!

One of my BM's just picked her dress up last week. She's having her alterations done elsewhere. She just said that she was there to pick up her BM dress and pay the rest that she owes. They are not obligated to get their alterations done there.
