For those who had 'E' party

Were you announced in?

We are having a 5 hr cocktail party and I am not sure about the entrance of comming in..

I might want to be announced

THE FUTURE MR & MRS. P......

I don't know..

We weren't announced, we greeted the guests as they entered. I had mine e-party at the Milleridge Inn and it was all family so it was more a 'getting to know you' party of the families. Are you having it at a hall or restaurant?

We were not announced, we greeted guests as they arrived along w. my parents, who were hosting the party.

We are not being announced. We'll be greeting and mingling w/ guests as they arrive.

Having an outdoor eng party in May- hope it doesn't rain!! We have a huge tent in case it does. But it's right on the water- that's why we had it there instead of a hall/restaurant- so we could walk on the beach and all. So it better be good weather!!!!

We were not announced at our either, we just greeted everyone coming in. The DJ, to our surprise, had us cutting the cake and feeding eachother. My cousin did the annoucement of him and FW as well as their parents and it made it seem more like a wedding than an e-party. (Then again their whole party was way too much.) JMO.

The party is at Jericho Terrace..

The DJ just asked me what I wanted to do..

Maybe we will greet the guests..

But we are getting married at Russos and comming out of the wall so I don't think anything else will compare to that!

Hey cutie.... You know I didn't have an E-party, but honestly, I would leave it for the day.... it might look too pretentious getting announced for your party then on your wedding also!

I am having an E-Party this June, I will be skipping the announcements and just mingling and greeting guests. I actually told my DJ I didn't want him to speak AT ALL during the E-Party, I don't want the party to seem like a mini wedding, I want just a straight up party!

Hmmm. maybe you should wait to be 'announced as Mr and Mrs' on the big day...

or maybe you can be announced as Mr P.. and his fiance ? or wife to be ?? hmm...
or how about 'your hosts (or better wording), of the evening....Ronnie and Theresa...' ask the dj to think of something creative :) 'the couple that you've all come to celebrate for...lets hear it for....

ps-is santa coming to the wedding? he showed up at my sisters. not sure if Russo's set it up, or the dj?? it was great, the kids and bride and groom and bridal party, were taking pics with him. it was at the end of the night...

FH and I just talked about our entrance. We decided on being at the place card table area and greet guests with our parents. Since we are having hors d’ oeuvres passed around, we thought that once we see people kind of schlepping around we would start the dancing then. FH and I would start and the MC would ask everyone to join in.
