For those who have already been to Aruba

FH and I want to go there for our HM. Where should we stay? I looked up a bunch of hotels but they all look the same. Any suggestions. We do not want all inclusive. TIA.

Try the Marriott - when I was in Aruba, I loved it there. We didn't even stay there and yet we went over to the Marriott every single day. We stayed in the Divi, but it's a timeshare.

we didnt want all inclusive also and we chose the Bucuti Beach Resort which is in the lowrise area. IT WAS HEAVENLY!! we chose the lowrises because it was quieter and more of a honeymooners area. no kids on the beaches, just peace and quiet, just the way we like it!

Bucuti Beach Resort

eta: we stayed at the Tara Suites and the rooms were gorgeous and our doors opened right onto the beach! pics are in my album.

Re: For those who have already been to Aruba

I've never been, but my FH knows a lot of people who have been there on vacation & for their HM. All said they were at the Hyatt for dinner, at the casino, etc and next time they go back they're staying there b/c they liked it so much. So that's where we're staying. If you stay 4 nights you get 5th night free, and every night after your 7th night is discounted by like 20%.

We loved the Hyatt Regency!! The service was amazing and the beaches/pools were beautiful the only thing I didn't like is that the balcony's off the room are small so you can't bring a chair out there.

I havn't been but I researched it as a possibility for us and the Bucuti looked great. Also there is a new riu there that looks very nice!

I suggest the Westin or the Bucuiti (sp?)

The Radisson is also nice.
We stayed at the Occidental Allegro on Palm Beach before the renovation, but I wasn't crazy about it.

We just came back from Bucuti last Monday and we loved it!!! It is so absolutely romantic. We stayed in the Tara Penthouse Suites. It was so quiet there... no children and perfect for honeymooners and couples. And tons of space on the beach - no need to wake up early and stake out your spot.

FM me if you want more info.

I thought the Hyatt looked the nicest of all the hotels on the strip

radisson we just stayed there! it was beautiful.

But really the hyatt and the marritt are just as nice.. but the radisson and the hyatt are in a better location becaue there are resturants and etc across the street, the marriot is further down and its a long walk to that area if you want to do lunch on the cheap side.

the radisson and fewer children than the hyatt because the hyatt had a kids club and slide.

the grounds of all 3 are all very nice.
the marriotts casino is more like AC

Has anyone stayed at the Renaissance? A woman I work with highly recommends it, but I don't think any of you ladies have mentioned it.
