For those who have been or are going to Sandals St. Lucia
I just remembered that people have told me that you need to book restaurants and excursions before you go in case they get booked up. Does anyone have any good suggestions for either of these??? TIA!

you dont need to make reservations for the restaurants before hand. Most from what I remember you can just show up or make them that day or when you get there. I think the Pier restuarant you may have to make reservations asap when you get there because most people want to have dinner there at sunset. the excursions im not too sure about - we didnt do any when we stayed there.

Hey! I have a ton of good information for you!! (Fyi I am still in st lucia...stuck on a delay...ughh)
Anyway..you cannot make any reservations until you get here. The only restaurant that requires a reservation is Kimonos (Regency)...we could not get in there...oh well. As for massages and excursions we booked most of them prior but it didn't seem that anyone had problems booking when they got there. However if you want to do dinner on the beach I heard it is much cheaper to book in advance (like $100 cheaper).
We booked couples massages, 2 hour horseback riding and zipline in advance. If you do the zipline...do it saturday because thursday the cruise ship is in and I heard its a nightmare. Also we booked an awesome boat tour with Vincent (Exodus Tours)...we met him on the beach and it was the best excursion! It went to a waterfall, volcano, snorkeling, etc and was so fun. Definitely thr highlight of our trip!!! Ok I think that is it....fm me for more details!!!

U can look at all the excursions via the sandals website. Or u can google exursions. The only one we didn't so thru sandals was the boat tour. They do offer a catamarran cruise but it was 8-5 and the boat tour we did was 9-2 and went all the same places. Plus it was a speed boat (faster) and smaller so more intimate...we made a bunch of good friends on that tour!!!
Also if u book thru your travel agent they make the commission on the booking!

Yes its the canopy tour! It is so fun! I was really nervous though so I think I spent alot of time being nervous! But there is nothing to even be nervous about...it isnt that scary at all. It was fun...but just know there are only 7 ziplines and you will probably get done in 30-40 minutes. the place is 1+ hour away so its a pain to get there but was it worth it....totally! We did alot of excursions and I wouldnt take any of them back!
Also...do the zipline on a saturday (no cruise ships in port on saturdays.)

you only need reservations for Kimonos or teh French Restaurant we didnt go to the french place and we finally got a reservation to kimonos on our last night there (we were theer 10days and that was the first available) as for teh excursions we did it before hand for a couple but you can do it just as easily when you get there
