Ive heard such great things about Tom Varghese from American Express. Can someone tell me how it works to book a honeymoon through him? FH and I dont have a huge budget so we were looking into either a cruise or an all-inclusive trip. If he finds something you like, do you leave a deposit down with him or do you have to pay for the trip in full?

all you have to do is email him and then he will call you and see what ur budget is and where you arel ooking to go ...he will show you a bunch of places on the computer ....
he will not go over yur budget
you should defin call him!

LOL I was sitting here thinking about it cause we definitely cant afford to pay for a trip in full! I guess Ill give him a call when we have extra money. Hopefully before the wedding.

we only had to put down $300 when we booked. Plus travel insurance which is like $200 i believe? dont quote me on that lol
But we have to pay in full 2 months ahead of time.

We're working with him now and he encouraged us to start looking ASAP to be able to find good deals. We gave him a rough budget and he showed us places that would be possibilities. He doesn't charge a fee for his service, but in order to book, I think you need to pay the airfare and a bit more. He's located in DC/MD, so everythings being done over the phone & email. FM me if you need his info.

he does everything over the phone and by email.
my deposit was 518 I think its a certain percentage.
you should really ask him yourself~ he is very nice and he answers all your questions with ANY hesitation..
email him~ thats the best way to get answers
(sorry if you already did.. I dont have computer access on the weekend because I go to my in-laws house and they dont have a computer.. which is hell for me-since I cant come on.. LOL)

Unfortunately, I think you have to pay in full no less than a few weeks before you go depending on who you book through. When doing the wedding budget, I always forget about honeymoon expense which is a very large one

He is excellent with your budget! We didn't have a large budget and he got us a great vacation. He doesn't try to get you to upgrade or go over either. He totally works with what you have and tries to get you the best deal.

We just had to leave a deposit for the hotel and airfare but didn't have to pay the airfare in full. You have to pay in full i think a month before your honeymoon but he takes credit cards
